Camp Grier: Volunteers Needed

Please consider volunteering to help  build the Global Village at Camp Grier in Old Fort. Next week the volunteers will build the Brick and Charcoal Making Shed at the future Global Village site. Beginning Tuesday,  July 10, the shed will be pre-fabricated in Asheville, and Thursday it will be transported to Camp Grier and the site prepared. The shed will be constructed on Friday and Saturday; we will dig post holes, set and erect a prefab wooden post-and-beam frame, and assemble a hoop structure for the roof.  Necessary tools will be on site. To volunteer or for more information, email Buzz at hobblein@hotmail.com or call 828.775.5593
The Camp Grier Global Village scheduled to open in 2013  and is a much longer story—but the short version:
The Global Village is about exciting your imagination - an opportunity to learn with hands and heart possibilities about making the world a better place for our friends and neighbors around the globe.
