West Gate Shopping Center | Multiple Shifts Available

Calling for volunteers of all ages! The annual St. Nicholas Project Toy Store is in full swing and GCPC has adopted a day to volunteer. Don't miss out on your chance to bring the Christmas spirit to Buncombe County by helping children living in poverty receive special holiday gifts.  There are flexible shifts available throughout the day: 9:45am - 1:15pm, 1:15pm - 4:45pm and 4:45pm - 8:15pm, and 10 people are needed for each shift. Please sign up in the Narthex with Geneva Neeriemer after Sunday worship. We hope to see you there!

This Year's Christmas Eve Offering

This year's Christmas Eve offering will go directly to Eblen Charities' emergency fund. This fund covers unexpected needs like Steve's. Steve has 3 small children and a wife whose catastrophic illness and resultant brain damage left her in need of many medications and 24-hour care.  Steve had to to quit his job to take care of his wife and children, and once he was able to stabilize the situation, he found a new job that requires that he have a van, which he cannot afford. This is the type of emergency need Eblen Charities covers through its emergency fund. Our Christmas Eve offering will help Steve's family and others like them.

Eblen Charities Coat Give-Away Days | October 22, 23, & 24 | Volunteers Needed

16 volunteers are needed on each of these days to help facilitate this give-away of coats to those in need. Eblen's Tools for School: Collecting Through August 10

Last year we gave hundreds of local students the start they deserve for the upcoming school year. Working with Eblen Charities' Annual Tools for Schools Drive, we are collecting backpacks and school / classroom supplies to help ensure a successful year for everyone. Collection boxes located in the Information Station through August 10.

Spring Recital Fundraiser for Eblen Charities April 27

At 4:00 p.m. on April 27, a recital will be presented at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church by three

graduates of St. Andrews Presbyterian College.  The program will include performances by Robert Gant, organist, and Walter Boyce, tenor.  Barbara McLean will accompany Mr. Boyce on the piano. The offering will support our partner in mission, Eblen Charities.

Eblen Coat Drive

Eblen Coat Drive-March 23-April 6th.  Ready for some spring cleaning?  We need your old coats! Hundreds of coats are given away each year and it is time for us to start restocking the supply! Please bring your outgrown or no longer needed coats to the church to be donated. Children's coats are in the highest need!

As the holidays approach, so do children's expectations. For some families struggling just to put food on the table, Christmas is not a time of joy. Eblen Charities' St Nicholas Project provides a memorable Christmas for children ages 0 to 18, by distributing toys donated by YOU. Please bring new toys to the labeled collection boxes in the Information Station in the narthex. In addition, consider volunteering in Eblen Charities' St Nicholas Project Toy Store. The "store" opens at 10 AM. Volunteers are needed in 4-hour shifts, with 8 people to a shift (think: Friendship Circle, Bible Study members, or just a group of friends). Tools for Schools

Soon, tens of thousands of students will be returning to a new school year. Unfortunately, far too many will be underprepared as the cost of proper school supplies is prohibitive. In addition, budget cuts leave the closets and cabinets of schools sparse as well. Therefore, Grace Covenant has joined Eblen Charities in their School Supplies Drive.

From now until August 4, we are collecting backpacks and school/classroom supplies to help ensure a successful year for everyone. Please click HERE  for a specific list of needed items, or pick up a paper copy in the Information Station in the narthex. Deposit donated items in the labeled boxes in the narthex for distribution.
