LGBTQ Young Adults and Homelessness | Information & Training Wednesday, August 14, at 6:30 PM | Jerusalem Room
Young
adults ages 18-24 are experiencing homelessness in rising numbers in
our community, and nationwide. LGBTQ individuals are over-represented
in this population, and present unique needs as they navigate the
homeless services system. Supportive allies are needed to help provide
safe and nurturing space as these individuals work toward housing and
health stability. Join Heather Dillashaw, Coordinator for the
Asheville-Buncombe Homeless Initiative, for an information and training
session for how you can be involved. Email Kristy Farber for more
details.
