Want
to see where our Guatemala team will hang out in Coatepeque? It's the Colegio Jerusalem,
the pre-school through secondary school where Jerusalem Church meets.
See http://www.colegiojerusalem1958.blogspot.com/.
The
first series is graduation day for "Jornada Matuina", the morning
session. There's also an afternoon session, so it's as if there were
two schools operating out of the same building. Lots of demand, I
guess.
The
second series shows Pastor Julio Perez, chaplain at the school and
recently returned pastor of Jerusalem Church. He's the one with the
mustache. You'll love him.
The
third series is the school parade. It's led by the students in white
shirts, dark skirt/slacks, and white sash worn diagonally. They are
"los abanderados", the top students in each grade. They have the great
honor of carrying the flags (las banderas). Also note: band, dance
team, stilt walkers!
