Fruits of the Partnership: Medical Student Visits with the Jimenez Family

Jess, one of the medical students I worked with last year, is now in Quetzaltenango (Xela), Guatemala studying medical Spanish. Then she will travel to Coatepeque where Brother Diego Jimenez of our partner Jerusalem Church will host her.  Diego has arranged for her to stay at the multigenerational Jimenez family home where she will get to meet Diego and Kristy's new baby Maria Jose.  She's taking a card and present for the baby from Grace Covenant.  While in Coatepeque, Jess will shadow Diego's physician brother at the public hospital learning about the Guatemalan health care system.  This is an outgrowth of the partnership that we wouldn't have imagined.  Please remember Jess, the Jimenez family, and Jerusalem Church in your prayers. --Kathy Meacham
