Chancel Choir Competes....in Generosity

They look so angelic in their black and white robes.  They sing so sweetly.  Don't be fooled!  There's a spirit of competitiveness that would astonish you.

Following intense competition for "Top Chef" prizes at their June choir picnic, the choir has lit up email channels after a challenge issued by the bass section.  "Which section will donate the most money for Guatemala scholarships?"

The competition ends Sunday, October 5.  Until then, sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses will be trying to outdo each other just as it says in Hebrews (10:24):  "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds."  Contributing to children's education in Guatemala while strengthening their bonds to the Jerusalem Church is surely "love and good deeds".  Thanks, Chancel Choir!
